Orleans Parish (New Orleans) dumps, transfer stations & drop-off sites
Checked Oct 23, 2026 Official source: City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation
New Orleans residents have three main options: the city's Saturday Recycling Drop-Off Center on Elysian Fields Avenue (recyclables, electronics, tires and more), free curbside bulky-item pickup booked through 311, and the city-owned Gentilly Landfill, which takes construction debris, wood and yard waste for a fee. We did not find a city-run household trash transfer station on nola.gov.
Who can use them The Recycling Drop-Off Center and Household Hazardous Waste days are for Orleans Parish residents only; businesses and organizations are excluded.
