Gwinnett County (Lawrenceville, Duluth, Snellville, Buford, Norcross) dumps, transfer stations & drop-off sites

Checked Oct 25, 2026 Official source: Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management

Gwinnett County does not run a public dump or convenience center. Unincorporated residents get weekly cart service from one of five county-assigned haulers, and bulky items and appliances are picked up free when you schedule them with your hauler. For self-haul, the county's partner nonprofit lists privately owned landfills and transfer stations that charge a fee, and Snellville runs a recycling center with a free junk container for city residents.

Who can use them

The private landfills and transfer stations are fee-based and not limited to county residents. The Snellville Recycling Center's recycling bins are open to everyone, but its junk and yard-trimmings areas are for City of Snellville residents only, with a valid Georgia driver's license showing a current city address. The county's recycling and household hazardous waste events are for Gwinnett residents.
