Fulton County (Atlanta, South Fulton, Roswell) dumps, transfer stations & drop-off sites
Checked Oct 24, 2026 Official source: City of Atlanta Department of Public Works, Office of Solid Waste Services
Fulton County no longer runs trash service; each of its cities handles its own. The City of South Fulton's Merk Miles center takes household trash, construction debris and yard waste from anyone, with a $10 resident rate for loads under 150 pounds. Atlanta residents can drop yard debris at Hartsfield Landfill, and Live Thrive's CHaRM on Hill Street takes paint, chemicals, mattresses and electronics by appointment.
Who can use them Rules differ by facility. Merk Miles is open to the public, with lower rates for South Fulton residents. Hartsfield Landfill yard-debris drop-off is for City of Atlanta residents only (no businesses), and the Roswell Recycling Center requires a photo ID with a Roswell address.
